[Review] TONY MOLY The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream

Hey everyone, it's me again! I'm back today with a review on the Tony Moly The Chok Chok Tea Watery Cream.

  • I purchased mine on Yesstyle for approx. $20 AUD
  • I've tested the product out for around 1 month now as both my daytime and nighttime moisturiser.

Product Description

The cream contains the moisture of naturally fermented green tea which is high in anti-oxidant and moisturising benefits to the skin, compared to fresh green tea. It is described to 'make the skin look look clear and revitalised by forming a moisture film over the skin as it applies smoothly on skin.'

Size: 60ml

Ingredients

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Cyclomethicone, Propanediol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26 Pantaerythrityl Teraethylhexanoate Buthylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate Sorbitan Olivate Cetearyl Olivate 1,2-Hexanediol Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6 Polysilicone-11 Phytosterly/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil Citrus Limon (Lemon) Seed Oil Disodium EDTA 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid

  • Contains 100% pure green tea ferment extract instead of distilled water
  • Contains no harmful chemicals

Texture

The moisturiser has a very unique texture of a bouncy gel with a smooth, jelly-like consistency. However, once it is applied onto the skin, it melts into the skin almost like butter.

I have personally have never encountered a moisturiser of such unique texture.

Pros
  • Makes skin feel plump and hydrated after applying
  • A little goes a long way for this moisturiser and would last for a while
  • Doesn't get too heavy
  • Refreshing on the skin
  • Quickly absorbs into the skin after 1-2 minutes (although may feel greasy when first applied)
  • Does not leave skin feeling sticky
  • This moisturiser would appeal to all skin types (both oily and dry)
  • Does not break skin out

Cons
  • Has a strong artificial green tea scent (personal preference)
  • Does not come with additional spatula which makes it unsanitary

Rating

The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream is definitely worth a try for its unique texture and highly rated reviews.

I definitely recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a light-weight yet hydrating moisturiser for the summer time.

However, I will be trying out different moisturisers after finishing this container as it provides only moisture to the skin and not any other benefits.
